BE THE LIGHT

Most often people will surprise you

With the decisions they make 

The way they move

And the things they say

You can be awed by the way someone thinks 

By the way foolishness comes out freely from their lips

Or by the way wisdom flows from someones mind like a rehearsed piece from the worlds best poet

Either ways, it's a win win. 

It's a win because wisdom and foolishness are the same, 

Only relative to who is speaking - their conciousness, knowledgeablity and understanding - and that of the listeners abiltity to hold and interpret what is being spawned across

You'll be shook at someones decision

To leave, to stay, to have,  to be, to do, to say, to write, to live

You will really be surprised 

It will leave you gasping between breaths, trying to understand - to get their point - to get your closure

But usually, you can't, because it's not part of your machinery

It's not part of you - to think like them

You can only try

Try to understand 

So as as you go about your day be a little kinder, a little patient, a little gentler, and a little more accomodating

Be the light that shines in the dark world

The light that shines in a chaotic world

The one that stands tall 

And while at that

Don't lose your spark

Your touch

Your fire

And zeal 

Don’t lose who you are

Remember, the goal is not to match energies and be like them

The goal is to remain you - in every situation 

To be your truest form of self

And while at that not try to play victim 

To not be the hands that slaps the face and rather holds the cheek

The mouth that provokes and rather bursts into tears

Don't let your form of "being crazy" hurt or shattter someone 

Don't steal

Don't lie

Don't hurt

It sounds difficult 

Especially in a world where there are manipulators and heart wrenchers

But that's where being you comes in

Where being you comes at play - in the position where you can compromise and mirror them - or get to that edge -to be petty - be dirtier

but still choose to remain composed, educated, and sensible 

Not as a sign of weakness - but as a mantle of strength - a mantle of leadership

 

Emulating the role of a servant leader

Who barks when necessary- bites when necessary but does both with love, sanity and decorum. 

So in a world that does not allow people to be

Be you

The real you- void of many inexplicable flaws

Embracing your difference, your scars, your uniqueness 

And being the balm to many wounded souls

You won't always be the bigger person, sometimes you need to give people a taste of their own medicine - but should that always be your excuse - your justification - your person? 

Most times you'll fall, you'll flout your own rules, and be the attacker, and very much break down - often - which is understandable, you’re human 

But nevertheless, be the one who doesn't join the train, but stands tall

The one who makes life a little easier 

A little better

A little more worth living

Keep that knowledge with you, that principle in your heart

So as as you go about your day be a little kinder, a little patient, a little more gentle, and a little more accomodating

Be the light that shines in a very chaotic world.
